4 L&D Tips: How to Improve Remote Workforce Development

Opportunities such as learning and development are really important for your employees, but it is more challenging to synchronize them since workforce this period are working partially or entirely remote. Internal training and conference are expensive and sometime ignored by contractual or seasoned employees, or sometimes employees are reluctant to attend virtual options and they prefer in-person training.
Companies are forced to reevaluate how they offer workforce development, just to save money and COVID 19 quarantines. Companies believe that Virtual/Online training can be effective if some work is done on the backend.
Here are the four (4) ways to implement and support your virtual development.

Solidify your company culture – Culture should reflect an organization’s values. Extend your office culture into the digital space. Digital communication can be maximizing like Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or any other digital program used by your company. According to Gallup, and what others recommended, was to have “a mix of synchronous and asynchronous role training to build onboarding, cohort camaraderie, while providing enough flexibility to absorb self-paced learning.”

Creating engaging course content – a course that should be engaging and employee will force to do something they don’t want to do.

Assist and support your workforce development initiative that works remotely – support and open communication from higher leader should be needed for workforce development initiative to ensure employee goals.

Provide networking opportunities - companies make certain that employees have access to networking opportunities in remote environments. Networking help companies resolve some problems by communicating with others in the same industry. Slack channels and social media groups can be used to promote networking.
5.
Provide a platform for training online – although providing online training is really a challenge to some companies nowadays but it will have benefited you in the long run. Virtual training furnish flexibility and guarantees all employees are learning new knowledge as needed.
