Meet The Founders

Co-Founders

ACLT Computing Inc was born at a time when the IT industry in the Philippines was still budding and almost at an infancy stage.ACLT was created in an era when BS Computer Science was still new as a baccalaureate degree, the famous OS was still MS DOS, the document tool was still Wordstar, the monitor display was still green and text-based, the common database tools were still Dbase and Foxbase, the common programming tool was still Clipper, and the data storage was still floppy disks.

ACLT came about because of the vision of the founders of a Filipino made software that would revolutionize the work environment towards higher productivity, competitiveness, and organizational growth.

Today, ACLT is the only local software company that outlived many IT companies, survived quite a number of economic crises (local and global) and growing competition (both local and international) for more than 25 years. It has maintained its reputation as the pioneering software for human resource management in the country.

Cresendo Abanes

Chief Technology Officer/Chief Executive Officer

Cres is a graduate of BS Computer Science in UP Los Banos in 1990. He took a few Masters courses in the same university while waiting for his formal graduation in 1991. As early as high school, Cres has shown great potentials in computers and software development. A son of an OFW in the Middle East, he was able to reverse engineer a computer Atari that was given to him by his father as a gift from abroad.

With strong foundations in Mathematics and a special interest in computers and software, Cres, together with a college colleague, developed a Transistor Transistor Logic (TTL) Program Simulator that was subsequently used by BSCS students as tool for their laboratory exercises.

Right after graduation, Cres taught computer science courses in AMA Computer College in Makati and Polytechnic University of Philippines in Manila. He was teaching Assembly Language and C++ Programming for a couple of years before he became a full pledge software programmer in an IT company working on projects for PLDT, Procter and Gamble, and NEC.

In 1994, Cres founded ACLT Computing Inc with some friends from UP. Its first objective was to create middleware software for Platinum Financials, and the second is to create its own line of programs and make a name for its very own software. Payroflex, the first local payroll software running on local area network (LAN), was developed in 1994 and automatically gained acceptance by some executives of SGV and Globe Telecoms. It was able to help Globe Telecoms decommission one of their mainframe computers that is costing them huge maintenance costs.

In 1995, Cres was able to upgrade his Payroll to Prime Modular Systems with a new module called Time and Attendance. This new module handles the complete process of Timekeeping from picking up raw timelogs from 3rd party barcode readers to computation and processing of Timesheets and generation of Timesheet Summary to be passed on to Payroll Module. In 1996, the 201 Module was developed followed by the rest of HR Strategic Modules in 1997. He formally launched the entire Suite of Prime Human Resource Information System (Prime HRIS) in 1998 at Mandarin Hotel, Makati.

Prime HRIS went through several upgrades the following 15 years and became MyPrimeHR with several web portals running on Microsoft SQLServer. To date, MyPrimeHR has 10 modules with HR Portal, Employee Self Service Portals, and Managers Portal. It has been implemented by more than 200 conglomerate companies with hundreds of thousands employees over the last 25 years.
