Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) secretary Silvestre Bello III, said the government has no discrimination in extending assistance and financial aid for all workers including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer or questioning (LGBTQ) community.  Bello said, “TUPAD is for all workers, so one will get financial assistance whether he or she belongs to LGBTQ or not.” during a payout ceremony in Siniloan, Laguna.

Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) is the cash-for-work program of the government (DOLE) to extend help those informal workers survive during covid-19 outbreak.

“The government is here to help. We are going around the country to provide relief to our needy workers,” Bello added
