Why is the air quality being the biggest workplace challenge according to Amazon’s top doctors?

While it is true that the pandemic had triggered the support for investment in proper ventilation. Public health research has shown that air quality at work is connected to brain function and productivity.  According to Vin Gupta, chief health officer-Amazon, the huge challenge for public and work space today will be the ventilation and air quality.

      100 years ago, the big issue that was killing people were communicable diseases passed fecal to oral, according to Gupta at the recent CNBC @Work Summit. The absence of better sanitation led to a reevaluation of how society sanitized and the forming of sewer systems. The challenge is how we ventilate public space and workplace 

      Amazon and its large-tech peers feasibly in a better financial position to allocate on health-care solutions than small- and medium-sized firms, but Gupta utter employer spending on health — not merely air quality but access to health-care services, including telehealth and virtual mental health services which he said will be a “raging” trend in the next decade — should not be viewed by the finance department as an additional expense, Gupta said, but as a cost-effective investment in the workforce.
